Class Regulations
These are rules for Hill Drag
Racing Only. Unless noted here all
general rules for machine and safety found above under "All racing general
rules & safety" apply to see Rider safety equipment required &
Race number information also see above.
RACE COURSE
LENGTH 500 FEETSNOW GROOMED SOFT SNOW, WIDTH 70-100 FEET, WIDE LANES, 2-5 LANES DEPENDING ON HILL CHARACTERISTICS & SAFETY
TERRAIN STEEP AS POSSIBLE AND SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE NO JUMPS.
EACH CLASS WILL RUN 2-3 ROUNDS. RACERS WILL BE JUGGLED TO ALLOW
FOR RACING AGAINST DIFFERENT RACERS EACH ROUND. AFTER 3 ROUNDS IN EACH CLASS, THE 4 FINALISTS WILL BE DETERMINED BY POINTS EARNED IN ROUNDS.
AFTER 3 ROUNDS, LANE CHOICE WILL BE DETERMINED BY POINTS EARNED
IN THE 3 ROUNDS. THE DRIVER WITH THE MOST POINTS, WILL GET 1ST LANE
CHOICE ETC FOR FINALS
We will continue to race the finals for the Pro Classes on Sunday for TV exposure.
SAFETY RULES SLEDS
ALL SLEDS MUST HAVE LEGAL WORKING TETHERS ATTACHED TO DRIVER
ALL SLEDS MUST HAVE SNOW FLAPS THAT TOUCH THE GROUND WITH RIDER ABOARD.
ALL SLEDS MUST HAVE HOODS.
ALL SLEDS MUST HAVE ALL CLUTCHES AND BELTS ENCLOSED.
ALL IMPROVED STOCK CLASSES - DEFINITION YOU MUST START WITH A
STOCK CHASSIS YOU MAY THEN IMPROVE ALL ASPECTS OF THE SLED, CHASSIS,ENGINE, SUSPENSION, TRACK, CLUTCHES ETC., WHILE MAINTAINING STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY AND SAFETY FEATURES. ALL ENGINES MUST BE NATURALLY ASPIRATED AND ONLY APPROVED RACE FUEL MAY BE USED.
All AMATEUR classes will be improved stock sleds, but must run a stock muffler.
CLASSES SLEDS
VINTAGE ANY NON-IFS SLED VINTAGE SLEDS MUST USE THE ENGINE, TRACK AND SUSPENSION THAT THE SLED CAME WITH ENGINES MAY BE MODIFIED AND PIPES ADDED. PIPES MUST HAVE A SILENCER. CC CLASSES WILL BE DETERMINED AS NEED ARISES. TROPHY ONLY - $20 ENTRY FEE. TROPHYS TO TOP 3.
JUNIOR - AGES 14-17 BOYS AND GIRLS UP TO 600 CC LIQUID. TROPHY ONLY TO TOP 3. EXPERIENCED JUNIORS MAY ENTER AMATEUR CLASSES WITH RACE DIRECTORS APPROVAL.
WOMENS 600 - UP TO 600 CC LIQUID. EXPERIENCED WOMEN MAY ENTER AMATEUR CLASSES WITH RACE DIRECTORS APPROVAL.
AMATEUR TROPHY ONLY TO TOP 3 IN EACH CLASS
SEMI PRO - TROPHYS AND PAYBACK TO TOP THREE 50% PAYBACK
PRO TROPHY TO 1ST ONLY PAYBACK TO TOP THREE - 75% PAYBBACK
Hotshot 100 - Is a speciality class open to both Pro and Semi Pro Drivers. 800 Improved Stock up to 800cc LC improved stock machines. 100% payback each weekend. Driver MUST enter 1 other class to race in the Hotshot 100
